![]() ![]() Additionally, they have a rapid magnetic connection, so turning them on and off requires only pulling the buds apart or joining them. The headphones have a large 17-hour continuous playback time, a bass-rich sound profile, and are fairly priced at Rs 1,199. ![]() I haven't been able to find any other earbuds quite like these, the sound quality and noise cancelling alone heavily outweight any of these drawbacks. Most buyers looking for a solid pair of neckband-style wireless earbuds around 2000 will find the Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo to their liking. They charge super fast in the case too (almost 1 hour for 5 minutes charging in the case) so I haven't really had any problems with battery life but we'll see how that lasts a year or so from now. The battery lasts for ages, I usually get 7+ hours out of them with LDAC, DSEE, and ANC on. However dispite these problems, the XM4s are still really really great earbuds. You can see the exact percentage in the app but that can be a little fiddly to do, sometimes you need to put the earbuds back in the case and then remove them to get an accurate reading because the percentage is not updated automatically. The case on the XM4s have a light on the front that glows green when charged and orange/red when flat and seems to be quite consistent. That's only happened to me three or four times though. A couple times I have experienced them go out of sync, like one of the earbuds will stop working and the other is still playing but that's easily fixed by putting it in and out of the case. Sometimes I just put one of the earbuds under my pillow if I want to lay on my side. The left earbud doesn't connect without the right earbud in your ear which is slightly annoying. You can only use the right earbud if you want to listen with one ear. I haven't had any major issues with it picking up background noises but sometimes when I'm in a call in the city near heavy traffic I've been told that the cars and buses make weird noises on the other end but I'm still understandable. The mic is ok, people on the other end have no problem understanding me but quality wise it's not one of the XM4's strong suits. I appreciate these bugbears are just quality of life improvements beyond what Sony were probably designing for but I guess I want it all :-) The LED on the case appears to be decorative :') The case doesn't indicate the battery level so unless I check the app (which I never do) I only find out the case is flat when I take out an all-but-dead earbud. ![]() I never managed to get the ears to sync individually which has become a pain as the battery life doesn't last a whole day any more - my last set it was handy being able to wear one ear then swap to another when the battery was low or my ear got le-tired or if I was laying on my side and wanted to roll over. The mic is practically unusable - picking up background noise especially anything high pitched and deafening anyone who calls me. Sound quality and noise cancellation has been phenomenal but: I'm looking for something to replace my XM3's but I'm not sure about sticking with Sony.
